Talk About Islam Among Non-Muslims

A while ago I came across a website called Citizen Warrior who is a person out to educate the world about the evils of Islam. Unlike many of his (lets just make this person a man) compatriots in the war on Islam, Citizen Warrior promotes a more calm and rational hatred of Islam. That is why he started up the website http://talkaboutislamamongnonmuslims.blogspot.com/. The website has a worthy goal of “Here non-Muslims discuss the challenges of talking to our fellow non-Muslims about the unsettling nature of Islamic doctrine”. The whole content of the website (besides the articles he links back to his main site which include How to Stay Calm When Talking About Islam and When People Think You’re Nuts) is just a single blog post where people are supposed to post in the comments section about the trouble they have when talking to non-Muslims about Islam.

So lets see what advice people have to offer us:

There seems to be two basic categories of Jihad; war-like terrorism and taqiyya. Unfortunately, the terrorism is the most easily countered because people (with a brain) see it for what it is. All of the non-violent forms make it easy to deceive the slumbering, gullible public and I’m afraid there are too few of us that recognize the threat of jihad. Finally Figured Out Islam: The same thing is happening to Geert Wilders. It’s crazy! He only showed Muslims speaking and acting, and showed quotes from the Quran about those actions, but HE is being charged with hate speech. If we can make this point clear and make it obvious how crazy it is, it would go a long way to ending getting over this first hurdle.

Today another Muslim was arrested for something or other. I can’t be bothered to provide details or anything but it totally happened. When are people going to learn that nebulous stories like that can’t happen?

Today another Muslim, in Chicago, was arrested for trying to blow up buildings, poison the water supply or cause other havoc. I cannot understand how any Muslim sympathizer fails to connect the dots – you don’t hear of any other group doing this type of stuff all over the world – because the Muslims are the only ones whose religious and politics takes them in that direction.

You see back in the day the Pope lied to people to kill people but Imams taught people to be nice to everyone. Then some stuff happened and somehow Christianity became very nice and nothing bad ever happened because of people interpreting the bible in a way that would incite violence, hate or discrimination. At the same time every Muslim started reading the Qur’an and they all realized simultaneously it was about killing every non-Muslim ever. Therefor Christianity is better than Islam.

The rebuttal about the crusades is common. Here is how I tackle it.

The Pope told Christians that their sins would be forgiven if they fought in the crusades, but war against infidels is not commanded by Christianity, nor are one’s sins forgiven this way. Noone had bibles in those days so they couldn’t check if the Pope’s declarations were based on the original scriptures. When Martin Luther finally got hold of one of the oldest Greek manuscripts, he translated it and found that salvation was ‘free’, not earnt, paid for, or granted by popes or priests. This started the reformation.

The opposite has occurred in Islam. Like Christians before the Reformation, muslims depended on the Imam to tell them what Islam was about. Mostly the imam would teach only the nice parts, except when war broke out would he instruct the soldiers about jihad. But lately, with increased literacy and availablity of Qurans, anyone can now read it for themselves in his or her language. So, when you scrape back Christianity to its raw state, you do not get the “crusades” anywhere in it. But when you do the same with Islam ie scrape it back to its pure form, the Quran, you get this …..

This is an exchange between me and another member at another site. We “argue” all the time about Muslims and he defends their right to be protected under our Constitution without limit. On this site we are formed of military, LE, veterans and civilians who take the oath to uphold the constitution and protect the country against enemies both foreign and domestic. So who decides what topics are valid for who to talk about? Are we to assume that all of these “special” members are going to blindly follow OK’s mission and go against their sworn duty just because of this membership when they do not have the facts of what is really going on at any given moment? Do they read every piece of news out there to keep up to date? Probably not. Who is to say that in something like Katrina there isn’t an area that there is a bunch of gangbangers shooting at the police and military and they are given orders to go in and disarm them…do you think that because of the OK oath they are going to say NO? If they did, what use are they? If there is a muslim training center and LE is told to go in and disarm them, are they going to say NO because no one wants to believe that there are bad muslims here and don’t want to hurt their feelings? Shouldn’t we as a group discuss what is out there, how to handle things, share info, figure out how to bring this country back as close to the Constitution and honest politics in order to support our military and LE to make their jobs easier and keep all of us safer and at the same time prepared if TSHTF? Im sure our LE and military could give us good information on what to do, what we should be doing…for a natural disaster or a political one. Those of you who don’t want to hear it or join in, just don’t…go to another thread but stop calling people names like bigots, racists and ignorant.

So I saw a poll the other day and saw that 30% of people were just uneducated about Islam and I thought “There is 30% I can willfully mislead and lie to about Islam”.

And yet, most people don’t even know the most rudimentary things about Islam. Traeh, your last big paragraph really resonated with me. It is indeed strange being involved in a sort of secret underground war against an ideology. And it IS negative. Find a loving and positive spin? That’s a tough one, but maybe not as tough as it seems. I usually refer to my work as “saving the free world” when I’m talking to my friends. They ask me what I did over the weekend. I often answer something like, “Same old thing, trying to save the free world.” It is somewhat self-mocking, but it is also true and they know it’s true, and many of them admire me for it.

What makes movies like Lord of the Rings epic is, I think, its universal message: That the forces of darkness are always gathering and that people of good heart and good intentions are always fighting to keep the good side winning.

As far as I can tell, it will never stop, so we might as well hunker down and enjoy the fight. And I really do think there is something to ENJOY about this fight. I love the feeling of meaningfulness and purposefulness this work bestows upon its warriors.

Someone at work was talking about 2012 and “the end of the world” the other day and many people joined in the discussion. My feeling was that they all lacked a sense of meaning, and many of them had a secret wish that something world-shaking WOULD happen in 2012 because they have nothing historically meaningful in their lives, nothing that gives them a sense of significance. I think people NEED that to really feel fully alive. And I didn’t feel I was missing that element in the slightest and I didn’t share their secret wish.

I feel I am engaged in a life-or-death battle for the fate of the planet, and I have met some magnificient people in this battle, good people who have become my friends and fellow warriors.

This is not a sure thing. It is not certain how things will turn out. There are many people AGAINST what we’re doing. There are secret forces fighting to subvert the freedoms we our predecessors fought so hard to win. This is really and truly a BATTLE, a fight for the playing field, a war of historical significance. And we must win.

The mainstream media focuses on the horror of war, and the psychological scars of war, but there is also the “joy of war,” if you could call it that — the feeling during a war that what is happening is more real and more significant and more urgent and more important than anything that happens in “normal” life. I’ve talked to WW2 vets who have told me that during the war they were more alive than any time since then, and that the bonds they formed under those circumstances withstood the test of time better than any other bonds.

Now I’M meandering. What I meant to say, though, is that although this sometimes feels like a “negative” thing we’re doing, in some ways that’s what makes the fight so important, so significant, and so ultimately satisfying. And that’s positive.

To say that Religion is a faith that teaches love and forgivenes and is not a threat to other religions. Once that is stablished. Then we can review the koran (And any other religions), and enforce US Muslims in Mosques to edit verses in the Koran(the teachings) that tie the Muslim faith (koran)with a Law (sharia) that teaches intolerance and killing of anyone who does not believe in the Muslim faith. Only until the Koran is revised (or abrogated as they say), it cannot coexist with different religions. Keep in mind Sharia are “hadiths”, laws that were written not by the prophet Muhammad, but by followers.

Once we change the constitution to make Islam not a religion we can force them to edit their holy book.

So please, next time you are talking to a non-Muslim about Islam keep the previous posts in mind and work their ideas and lessons into your conversation as needed.

So as everyone who is reading this site knows, the controversial mosque near ground zero cleared the last hurdle to being built when the Landmark Preservation Society voted 9 to 0 against giving the land it is to be built on historic protection. This means that a big scary Islamic building is going to be near ground zero and that means that Muslims are secretly laughing at all Americans. Because of this all true Americans (as defined by Free Republic goers) should be outraged by this shameful act of Islamic gloating. Mtnwmn knows what is up exactly:

Man I wonder why no one in Saudi Arabia cared about the feelings of a person who uses the word “raghead”.

Having lived within the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for more than three years, and being a Catholic, at no time.. ever… did any of that bunch of raghead heathens make any effort to determine if I was ever offended by their practice of what is no more than a sophisticated version of a cult…. no more, no less, than the Jim Jones deadly debacle. The first step is to get people to understand exactly who this ENEMY is and to drop their fear of calling a spade a spade. Unless we want to allow our great Nation to descend into the tattered shreds of national sovereignty that remains in many Western European nations, we need to speak out loudly and clearly against this encroaching EVIL.
Do we have to wait several more years until it gets to the point of what Europe is now confronting until we get a political leader to speak out as Geert Wilders? Unfortunately when it gets to that point, it may prove to be too late.

Hey so I was looking though USA Carry the other day after Tars Tarkas brought it to my attention and realized it was mostly full of conservative crazies who hate everything that doesn’t represent an idealized version of the 1950’s that the users collective envision. At one point, one of the posters just writes “I want the America I grew up in back” which seems to be what this whole post could be summed up as. Anyway, onto the crazy people:

An Important Public Service Announcement

Today marks an important day in our nation’s historic fight against Islam and the creeping menace known as Sharia Law. At this year’s Arab American festival, 4 Christian missionaries from Acts 17 Apologetics were arrested for disorderly conduct and charged with misdemeanor disturbing the peace while trying to convert Muslims to Christianity at the festival. Today they were arraigned. A quote from the Dearborn police chief:

“We did make four arrests for disorderly conduct. They did cause a stir.”

For most people this story would just be something they read below the fold on the four page of the newspaper but for conservatives everywhere it was a wakeup call that Muslims were taking over the Unites States. (sidenote: my favorite name in those links is “the persecution times”. How great of a name is that?)

One person in particular who tried to warn us about this impending Muslim takeover of Dearborn, Michigan and subsequent Sharia Lawing of our freedoms is Gadi Adelman. Gadi has been writing for a while trying to let us know about the evils of Islam and how it is trying to take over America and replace the constitution with Sharia law. He is humble and doesn’t want to rub it in our faces though as he starts off his latest article “Welcome to Dearborn, Arabia” off:

“When I wrote about creeping Sharia in America back in January in my article “One Nation under Allah” I was called an “Islamophobe.” In March I co-wrote “Are we financing our own demise” with Joy Brighton, an expert in Sharia finance. For that, I was called an “alarmist.” Also in March I wrote an article in which I told the truth about the treatment of women who live under Sharia law and I was called a “racist”. In April I wrote about the amount of terror that stems from Islam. I was called a “hate monger”. Last week in my article “You’re doin’ fine Oklahoma” I wrote about the ban of Sharia in Oklahoma and was told I was “crazy” to believe that Sharia could ever happen here in America.”

As you can see, Mr Adelman has written a lot about Islam and it’s sinister plot to take over America and institute Sharia Law. Well we didn’t listen to him and now here we are, knee deep in Sharia law where 4 Christian missionaries can get arrested for disorderly conduct at a drop of a hat for something as innocent as trying to agitate a crowd of Muslims:

“They look for a mark. They look for someone they know is going to be agitated with, for someone who is going to be engaged in a very heated way, and use that to draw a crowd.”

That quote was from Jack O’Reilly, the mayor of Dearborn. You might be saying “well that just sounds like a normal arrest” but there are things you don’t know. Did you know the chief of police’s name in Dearborn Michigan is Ronald Haddad? You didn’t did you and do you know what that means? I’ll let Mr. Adelman explain:

“In case as you were reading this, you missed it… The Chief of Police of Dearborn is Ronald Haddad. Yes, we can assume that Chief Haddad is a Muslim. Those that I have spoken to involved in this case have confirmed this.”

That’s right, a Muslim. And according to one of the people arrested, David Wood “Two thirds of Dearborn, Michigan is Muslim.” Think about that and what it means. You’ll have to decide for yourself because Mr. Adelman never really explains what those two things are supposed to mean when you put them together. Mr. Adelman also never bothers to mention the non-Muslim mayor defending the arrest.

This story is only the latest in a long line of stories that Mr. Adelman has put together to show us how Sharia law is slowing taking over the U.S.

“Kansas City International Airport recently constructed four foot-washing benches to accommodate a growing number of Muslim drivers who requested the facilities to prepare for daily Islamic prayer. The University of Michigan-Dearborn plans to spend $25,000 to construct two foot-washing stations at the University of Michigan at Dearborn while 18 other universities, including a number of public institutions, have installed foot-washing facilities in Michigan and other states. Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix added airport user fees to install two faucets located two feet above the ground to help Muslim taxi and limo drivers meet their religious needs.”

“Workers at Tyson Foods’ poultry processing plant in Shelbyville, Tennessee will no longer have a paid day off on Labor Day, but will instead take the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr in the fall. A July 2008 press release from the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), said that a new contract at the Shelbyville facility “implements a new holiday to accommodate the … Muslim workers at the plant.” The union has also claimed that in addition to the observance of the Muslim holiday, “Two prayer rooms have been created to allow Muslim workers to pray twice a day and return to work without leaving the plant.”

So now thanks to Sharia law we have foot washing stations and prayer rooms in chicken plants and now innocent Christians getting arrested for disturbing the peace. Who will stand up to fight the good fight against Sharia Law?

Rep. Rex Duncan of Oklahoma that’s who, Rep Duncan is introducing a bill to ban Sharia law in Oklahoma. More precisely what he is trying to get passed is a amendment to the Oklahoma constitution that would forbid judges from using International law (including Sharia law) when considering cases. Rep Duncan explains:

“wording on the state ballot would include the explanation of ‘law of nation’ and ‘Islamic law’ as well as ‘laws followed by Mohammed’ ”

So thank God there are men out there like Rep Duncan who want to ban ‘laws followed by Mohammed’ and stand up for the Christians in this country who are being persecuted daily by the Muslim Majority. And will that final note of intolerance ringing in your ears, I’ll leave you with Mr. Adelman’s closing argument from “Welcome to Dearborn, Arabia”:

“I have been warning and writing and speaking about this for years, I urged you all to speak up and speak out. I said that we in America only have to look at the U.K. or Europe to see where we are headed if something is not done soon and now it has happened.

I am not proud to say “I warned you”, it is here people, Sharia in America. Our Nation that was founded on Judeo-Christian values and principals has now seen the arrest of four people for exercising their rights at an Arab festival.

What are you going to do about it? Contact your Representatives, call the Mayor of Dearborn?

Robert Byrd (D-WV) died recently, leaving behind a distinguished political career that included many achievements among them being the longest serving senator, the President pro tempore of the United States Senate four times, United States Senate Majority Leader twice, and Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee. Byrd was a powerful socially conservative democrat who you would think that most conservatives would like. He opposed letting gays serve openly in the military, he endorsed the Defense of Marriage Act, He opposed affirmative action and voted for the partial birth abortion ban. So why does Freep hate a person that holds many of the same views as them? The answer is simple: he is a democrat which means he is the enemy.

BTW: To those who say we should be respectful of the dead, I say: Not those who have murdered millions of babies, shredded the Constitution, and stolen trillions of dollars. I would no more think of saying nice things about Kennedy, or Byrd, than I would think it my duty to think of something nice to say about Mao, Stalin, Hitler, or Pol Pot. Democrats are not part of the American body politic. They are alien combatants.

Since he is an “alien combatant” they are allowed to say bad things about him and once they were informed by Fox News that Byrd was once part of the KKK, Freep was off to the races.

Starting out in the House of Representatives, he was elected to the Senate in 1958 by defeating his incumbent republican opponent, who supported civil rights. Therefore, Byrd did not support civil rights. I wish current liberals could hear some of those firey speeches!

This Freeper loves the thought of God purging the senate of people who he disagree with him politically.

Senator Kennedy, Now Byrd, seems there is someone, that can clean house without a vote. There are a few more that need to feel the call of the Lord.

Too many American Warriors unnecessarily have fallen on Byrd’s watch. Everyday lately we get the news of more of those warriors falling in Afghanistan in large part because of the ROEs that dictate that they can’t bring full force against suspected terrorist filth. Those ROEs exist at the behest of the CIC Maobama who had the full support of Robert C. Byrd and the rest of the human refuse that is the democrat party. Maobamacare, tax increases, decreases in our Constitutional Rights and on and on are all in place or are strongly contemplated by the democrat party of Robert C. Byrd and Akbar Hussein Maobama.

Why do we need to be respectful to dead people? Screw that!

Well as the saying goes, we should not speak evil of the recently departed, therefore, I’ll wait a respectful period–maybe a week or so?–before offering my opinion!

I have never understood this prohibition. Ted Kennedy was a despicable pig and a traitor, and I reveled in his death on this forum, as I would have any other criminal or traitor, the moment it was announced. Robert Byrd wasn’t nearly as bad, but was a KKK leader and racist, and later one of the most corrupt Senators in the history of the union. I do not mourn his passing, and wretch in expectation of Manchin appointing yet another sleazebag to replace him.

Second chances are for wimps and losers. I am a fine upstanding Christian, I don’t give no second chances.

The guy was a KKK leader. None the less he served the longest term in the history of the United States Senate.

And he served as a Democrat.

No, I won’t be allowing this POS to drift off into some dream state as Democrats will be want to do.

This man could not have served as a Republican in the Senate of the United States. The Democrats would have torn him to shreds.

I cannot and will not pray for that part of him. He has to answer for that. In the position he was in, he had mega-chances to do good for people, to help his nation and his people. But he chose to be a Democrat.

Byrd has since written on his association with the KKK and has apologized for the intolerant views he held early in life and stating that joining the KKK was “the greatest mistake I ever made”:

Proving that people can change, in the Congressional Report Card released by the NAACP for the 108^th Congress (2003-2004), Byrd received a 100 percent approval rating. In June 2005, Byrd proposed an additional $10 million in federal funding for the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial in Washington, D.C., remarking that “With the passage of time, we have come to learn that his Dream was the American Dream, and few ever expressed it more eloquently.”

Let us not forget though that the same people who are so quick to point out Byrd’s past also brought us these wonderful comments about Malia Obama and still actively spell Muslim as mooslim and mudslime and call Mexicans “savages”.

And finally I will be kind and answer one Freeper’s question about Byrd.
