- America’s toughest Sheriff, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, roasted a woman alive in the hot desert sun and no one is going to get punished at all.
- Have you seen that movie Gasland? Well, the Pennsylvania Office of Homeland Security thinks that makes you a criminal and now they’re tracking your movements and sending the information to gas companies. Isn’t it great all crime in Pennsylvania has been solved so now they can focus on what movies you watch?
- Incessant wingnut whining about another issue (BLACK PEOPLE!!!!!) is causing the DOJ IG to investigate the New Black Panthers non-issue. I’m sure they’ll find just as much as they did on ACORN (that was nothing, btw)
- Astroturf group FreedomWorks is setting up “DiversiTea“, an attempt to get more minorities at the tea parties than the same five or so people they bus all over the country. You see, gas prices are going up! I expect this will double the amount of minorities in the Tea Party to an even dozen!
- Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Obama may follow a “Kenyan, anti-colonial” worldview.
“What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]?
Newt is undoubtedly speaking to the birther fringe with those comments. I don’t think he really believes Obama was born in Kenya, but Newt wants to be president and is trying to cozy up to the Teabaggers (who HATE him, btw)
- Speaking of Newt, he has a new video with his wife where they say Islam is the most dangerous thing to happen to America since the sticking your fingers into light sockets fad of 1917. They still hate you, Newt and wife #3.
- Andrew Breitbart admits he’s tricking people.
- Besides the Koran events we reported on over the weekend, ThinkProgress has a good list of other events that show how awesomely scary the rhetoric has become. Highlights include burned and pooed on Korans and burned and shot Korans. Still waiting for some confused person to burn a Korn cd…
- The best Koran event was in Amarillo, TX, where our old friends Repent Amarillo (who still send my fake email account long essays about wrongly interpreted passages of the bible) were going to burn a Koran in an event they didn’t bother to email me about. Passing by was 23-year-old skateboarder Jacob Isom, who snatched the Koran and said “Dude, you have no Quran!” and ran off. Now, we support the right of Repent Amarillo to burn the Koran if they so want to, but this is hilarious. Isom later gave the Koran to a Muslim guy at a nearby rally against the hate by Amarillo Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

- D.C. Douglas has a new video out about the Koran burning:
- The Republicans are running homeless people on the Green Party to siphon off votes from the Democrats. This guy Steve May was on NPR defending this yesterday and he claimed he was friends with all these homeless people and they were real. He also wants to sell you a bridge in Brooklyn.

re: your hilarious and insane threat to sue me
I appreciate your alerting me that my comments are being monitored. I am not sure if you are aware of this, but that is generally what people hope happen to their comments when they are posted on a website on the internet. I am glad to hear you are also in possession of previous blog entries. I too have internet access.
As a professional courtesy, please consider spelling my name correctly when delivering any future baseless and ludicrous threats because your feelings were hurt. As a personal favor, please stop making racist, ignorant and illogical cartoons.

- Iowa For Freedom is ticked over the gay marriage in Iowa and is trying to get a bunch of judges yanked. They are even lying about support from former SCOTUS judges to do it.
- The Koran burning is on-again, off-again, with the tiny church pastor Terry Jones saying he’s not going to do it because the community center got moved, the community center not knowing what he’s talking about, and Donald Trump wandering in. And Fred Phleps is claiming he’ll burn Korans if the other guy chickens out. Who knows??? We’ll see tomorrow if things go up in flames.
At Politisink, we agree the church has the right to burn the Korans because free speech is awesome, but free speech also gives us the right to call this shenanigan damn dumb. Because it is damn dumb.
- Wonkette does our job for us (because Wonkette gets paid to do it, while we just update during lunch or after work) and posts a bunch of posts from wackos on Sarah Palin’s Facebook page that disagree with her on the Koran burning.
- Our friends at Resistnet.com have freaked out over the Koran burning, by deleting every post that mentions it and even shutting down chat in an effort to stem the calls for Muslim Final Solutions that are appearing all over the site, probably because they know we’re watching them. Because we are. At the same time, the Resistnet Admins are going to New York with a petition to try to get the Community Center moved.
- Already read Over the Cliff? Think American Taliban was keen? Enjoy people writing about how the Teabaggers are a bunch of suckers? Than this book (The Backlash by Will Bunch) might be interesting, but I haven’t read it yet so who knows?
- Being in San Bruno when it explodes is not as fun as you might think. But Tanforan Mall stayed open extra hours for those of us trapped in traffic as the mountain nearby burned from the gas pipe explosion. At least 4 are dead and 38 homes completely destroyed with hundreds damaged.

The CEO of Stardock is a crazed Wingnut who publishes pseudo-white nationalist fan fiction as official novels for their video games. More here:
So Stardock CEO, Brad Wardell, wrote a book about a group of heroes building a fence to keep olive-skinned and dark-skinned antagonists out of a continent…
Glenn Beck has started his own HuffPo ripoff site, TheBlaze.com. The best part of this is that it will probably kill Tucker Carlson’s DailyHowler, but FoxNation.com will still putter along. TheBlaze.com allows comments, so expect it to show up on a Wingnut Web once free time becomes something I have.

America’s honor is restored. And by America’s honor, I mean Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin’s bank accounts! good job, Wingnut Suckas! I’m sure maybe a few cents will end up at the charity, but only whatever Canadian pennies accidentally got put in the donation baskets.
The crowd was estimated at 87,000, but that didn’t stop Glenn Beck and the rest of the rightwing loons to inflate the numbers and soon they were over half a million. By Friday there will have been 96 quintillion people at Beck’s rally. All of them white.
And the “peaceful crowd” was filled with violent psychopaths.
Hey, Japan is ripping off the Teabaggers for their own crazy xenophobic mobs!
The demonstrators appeared one day in December, just as children at an elementary school for ethnic Koreans were cleaning up for lunch. The group of about a dozen Japanese men gathered in front of the school gate, using bullhorns to call the students cockroaches and Korean spies.
….
More significantly, the protests also signaled the emergence here of a new type of ultranationalist group. The groups are openly anti-foreign in their message, and unafraid to win attention by holding unruly street demonstrations.
Since first appearing last year, their protests have been directed at not only Japan’s half million ethnic Koreans, but also Chinese and other Asian workers, Christian churchgoers and even Westerners in Halloween costumes. In the latter case, a few dozen angrily shouting demonstrators followed around revelers waving placards that said, “This is not a white country.”
….
No such estimates exist for the size of the new Net right. However, the largest group appears to be the cumbersomely named Citizens Group That Will Not Forgive Special Privileges for Koreans in Japan, known here by its Japanese abbreviation, the Zaitokukai, which has some 9,000 members.
The Zaitokukai gained notoriety last year when it staged noisy protests at the home and junior high school of a 14-year-old Philippine girl, demanding her deportation after her parents were sent home for overstaying their visas. More recently, the Zaitokukai picketed theaters showing “The Cove,” an American documentary about dolphin hunting here that rightists branded as anti-Japanese.
In interviews, members of the Zaitokukai and other groups blamed foreigners, particularly Koreans and Chinese, for Japan’s growing crime and unemployment, and also for what they called their nation’s lack of respect on the world stage. Many seemed to embrace conspiracy theories taken from the Internet that China or the United States were plotting to undermine Japan.
…..
Mr. Sakurai says the group is not racist, and rejected the comparison with neo-Nazis. Instead, he said he had modeled his group after another overseas political movement, the Tea Party in the United States. He said he had studied videos of Tea Party protests, and shared with the Tea Party an angry sense that his nation had gone in the wrong direction because it had fallen into the hands of leftist politicians, liberal media as well as foreigners.

- Opponents of the Ground Zero Community Center staged a rally where they tried to mob a black guy because he looked Muslim. But they were probably all liberal plants.
- In New York, a guy named Michael Enright stabbed Muslim cab driver Ahmed H. Sharif while screaming things like “Assalamu Alaikum”and “consider this a checkpoint”. But he was probably a liberal plant.
- A drunk guy entered a mosque in Queens on Wednesday evening, stuck up his middle finger and cursed at everyone, called them terrorists, and then peed on some prayer rugs. But he was probably a liberal plant.

- Glenn Beck’s 8-28 Rally is this weekend, where Beck will try to co-opt the Civil Rights Movement in order to sell books..I mean, be patriotic and take back America. It has nothing to do with selling books. But his books will be available for purchase! Real Patriotic Americans will be at the 9-12 Rally instead! Which one will have the larger made up number of attendees? You’ll have to wait and see!

- So there were a few fights at the Iowa State Fair and rumors swirled it was Beat Whitey Night and that gangs of black youths were systematically beating down poor white people. Despite the police now denying there was a Beat Whitey Night, the right wing noise machine went into full force, and soon FreeRepublic’s whining and blanket race war threats had gotten the attention of the Aryan Nation!
Aryan Nations Headed to Des Moines, Iowa
Paul Mullet is the director of the Aryan Nations Church of Jesus Christ Christian. When he heard Rep. Ako Abdul-Samad, Democrat from Des Moines say that there wasn’t enough information about the beatings and attacks to call them racially motivated, he said they (Aryan Nations) were going to Des Moines. When asked how many were coming or when they were coming, Mullet said he wasn’t going to let anyone know ahead of time. He (Mullet) said he wasn’t stupid.
That’s right, the white supremacist guy’s name is Mullet.
Luckily FreeRepublic is sensible and they all deny the Nazis..oh, wait..

Alternet has a list of 10 young Right Wingers who are the future of the conservative movement. Read up because they’ll be saying horrible crap on a tv near you soon enough!
A scam company is using a Bill O’Reilly interview to pretend he endorses them to scam more people! Ever wonder why scams are so popular with Right Wing news advertisers? It’s almost if they think the audience is stupid…why could that be? For his part, BillO is pissed. But NewsMax is the group promoting this junk along with scam organizer Bill Spetrino, who turns his 60-day “trial” account for his system into a $99/year payday.
Teabagger Republican Nevada Senate Candidate Sharron Angle – “Black is Evil!”
Professor HM Orly Taitz TE got smacked down by the Supreme Court (again) and is trying to appeal. Expect that to go nowhere fast. Taitz is also claiming she has new evidence Obama is not a citizen because she’s seeing things in videos posted on the WhiteHouse.gov site. Yeah.
So Dr. Laura will be ending her show after her now-legendary N-word rant. Luckily, Sarah Palin supports her and tells her to reload! I guess, yell the n-word even more? And she was against the n-word a few months ago. I’m totally confused, but who would have though Sarah Palin would back racist rants?
Wingnuts go insane on a juror in the Blago trial, blaming her for being the loan holdout that got Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich convicted on only one count. Their evidence? She’s black, worked for the state, and listens to NPR! Shirley Sherrod 2.0
Juror # 106, a black female believed to be in her 60s, is a retired state public health director who has ties to the Chicago Urban League. She has handed out campaign literature for a relative who ran for public office. She listens to National Public Radio and liberal talk radio shows.
Who would have though the Wingnuts would destroy the life of a black woman?
The anti-Mosque hysteria might cost the GOP a big name donor! Who would have though the Wingnuts would be racist against Muslims?
This is a good read about the Tea Party Exchange: One man came up with a scheme for a Tea Party discount card, and the businesses that signed up suddenly had a lot of angry customers that didn’t want to do business with supporters of crazy Teabaggery. Now the whole thing has collapsed and the guy is going to lose all the sweet sweet money he made of the back of hard working local businesses.

- Twitter drama in Kansas as the Republican campaign for Mike Pompeo Twittered a link to a blog written by crazy racist Sgt. Bob Pinkstaff retired. Democratic candidate Raj Goyle was rather upset and is making a big deal of the issue. Even better, this is actually a close race in conservative Kansas.
Wednesday afternoon a staffer used Twitter to post a link to a blog. That blog, said to be written by Gunnery Sergeant Bob Pinkstaff USMC retired, questions candidate Raj Goyle’s religious beliefs.
Here is an excerpt from the blog as written:

- Yahoo News has a guide to the latest Right Wing astroturf groups that they are dubbing the “Shadow GOP”. We’re gonna reproduce a relevant part in case this Yahoo News story disappears like others have in the past (not a conspiracy, their content just expires sometimes)
American Crossroads: Founded in March by Rove and Gillespie to counter ad spending from liberal outfits like MoveOn.org and labor unions, this 527 group says it plans to raise and spend upwards of $50 million before November. So far, the group is focusing on 11 key Senate races, including Nevada, where the group has run two ads attacking Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. But Collegio says American Crossroads will begin targeting House races closer to Election Day. According to Internal Revenue Service records, the group has raised roughly $8.5 million so far — including $1 million from Dallas energy executive Trevor Rees-Jones.
Crossroads GPS: A spinoff of American Crossroads, this 501-c4 group can keep its donor list private — a major selling point for individuals and corporations who want to anonymously influence elections. While it won’t run ads, the group is picking up some of the pricey administrative tasks that the RNC has usually taken on, including building a database that allows them to microtarget voters in certain congressional districts with outreach specific to their interests.
American Action Network: Modeled in part after the liberal Center for American Progress, this 501-c4 group is headed up by former Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman and managed day-to-day by Rob Collins, a former top aide to House Minority Whip Eric Cantor. Together with its sister group, the American Action Forum (see below), the outfit plans to be something of a GOP think tank, helping to craft the Republican message. But this side of the operation will focus more on advocating candidates than on policy development. A GOP source tells The Upshot the group is looking to spend as much as $25 million to influence the midterms. Already, the group has launched an ad against Charlie Crist, who quit the GOP to run as an independent in Florida’s Senate race. The group has just launched a $450,000 campaign trashing Democrat Paul Hodes in New Hampshire’s Senate race.
American Action Forum: An offshoot of the American Action Network, this group will focus more on formulating policy and helping GOP candidates deliver their message than on running ads attacking specific candidates. Fronted by Doug Holtz-Eakin, a former economic adviser to John McCain’s presidential campaign, AAF lists Coleman and former governors Jeb Bush and Tom Ridge as board members.
Resurgent Republic: Founded by Gillespie and several GOP pollsters last fall, this group aims to be the Republican equivalent of Democracy Corps, a polling and research group founded by Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg and former Clinton operative James Carville. The nonprofit group will try to improve GOP messaging through polling and research groups and will work directly with other Republican groups in the network.
Republican State Leadership Committee: This 527 group plans to spend at least $40 million to influence state elections, including local House and Senate races, ahead of next year’s planned redistricting debate. While Gillespie is the chairman, other advisers on board include former Rep. Tom Reynolds, who used to chair the House GOP campaign committee, and former RNC chair Mike Duncan (who is also working for American Crossroads).
Keep in mind the Center for American Progress was modeled after the Heritage Foundation. There are like a million conservative front groups so it is hard to keep track of them.
- This is the most awesome expose of a Right Wing internet crank I have seen in a long time. Recent BigGovernment (Breitbart’s website) hire Kevin Pezzi spent his debut trashing Shirley Sherrod as a racist. Then Media Matters googled him. What they found is an amazing trail of internet crazy, wild claims, brutal racism, ginormous ego, sock puppets galore, sexual bragging obsession, and just plain insanity. Read the big report here and a side report detailing all the sock puppets and fake internet harem. Kevin Pezzi has a FreeRepublic.com account and if we have time we’ll do a search on it.

If you’ve read The Wrecking Crew by Thomas Frank you will be familiar with the vast direct mail fundraising apparatus the Right has. Now, the modern Web 2.0 version has been operation for years, and Salon has exposed that like before most of the money goes to the firms and not the candidates.
Thousands of grassroots conservative donors around the country who believe they are contributing to the fight to reclaim Congress in the fall have actually poured millions of dollars into a group of political action committees whose primary function appears to be enriching a notorious Washington direct mail fundraising firm, Salon’s review of the groups’ FEC filings shows.
The PACs — Freedom’s Defense Fund, the Black Republican PAC, Veterans for Victory, and the Republican Member Senate Fund — are all based out of post office boxes in Washington and all have a treasurer in common: Scott Mackenzie, a campaign finance consultant at Base Connect, the direct mail firm. Formerly known as BMW Direct, Base Connect has long been controversial for its practice of raising large sums of money for long-shot conservative candidates, who in turn pay Base Connect as much as 80 or 90 percent of the money raised for its services.
This is just the Free Market in action, baby! Also the new Politisink Concerned Americans for an American America Patriot Freedom Eagle PAC is now seeking donations, we promise that we may eventually get around to giving money to a candidate.
Speaking of Right Wing nuts, the Washington Post has a neat article up about how Colonial Williamsburg has become sort of a Mecca for Wingnuts wanting to hear the founding fathers give rousing speeches. The Founding Fathers are played by actors, many of which aren’t into the crazy wingnut beat and are shooting down Glenn Beck talking points while in character. It rules.
Women are all about porn, and only church groups can save them!
The Iowa GOP wants to join the ranks of the other crazy state GOP groups, so they’ve decided to support the “original” 13th Amendment solely because they want to try to use it to strip Obama’s citizenship. At least they think Obama is a citizen…
In other citizenship news, Republicans love the Constitution except for every part of it that isn’t the 2nd Amendment. And now they want to toss the 14th Amendment because too many brown babies are being born. Oh, wait, it’s to “fight illegal immigration” aka too many brown babies are being born. The following Senators hate babies: Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Jon Kyl of Arizona, John McCain of Arizona, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, and Chuck Grassley of Iowa.
This stuff is so nuts even Lou Dobbs and Alan Keyes want out.

We’re gonna get upside down the place here twice! Oddly enough, this person hid their profile…
Glenn Beck loves the white power…at least his Twitter did until caught!

Did you hear about the prison guard who killed a dude to steal his gun to use to overthrow the US government in the name of Right Wing Freedom? Well, now you have.
